Ch. 86 pics

My last picture summary! After this chapter is up, all the other chapters have been graciously posted by moridin_ and xparrot. So even though most of us know the ending here are the bits ya may of missed. (Actually knowing the ending makes these scans so much easier to take...)
Warning: Spoilers and tearjerkers.
And one more time, a huge thanks to kanoe81 for all her hard work on translations, so we all can know what is really going on.

(This one is from the English vol. 16 but it fit so well, how could I resist.)


Ban and Akabane's fight has come to its brutal end. Ban falls first, severally wounded. Akabane stands in reverence only to shortly later reveal in a grand splatter of blood the damage Ban has also made to him. As Akabane's hat flies to the ground he makes his silent exit leaving the others to the continued mystery that is Dr. Jackal.
Ban knows now that his time has come and turns to ask for a last smoke from Paul, who though noticibly sad, willingly fufills the favor. Ban has started to dissapear from this wolrd.

He tries to comfot Himiko once again and says his goodbyes and thanks in his own ways stateing that he has nothing to regret.

Mid speech he is delivered what seems to be a fininshing blow from Akabane. Somewehre form the shadows the jackal has thrown a singl scaple to Bans chest. Ban falls in Himikos arms as Ginji, about to enter the gate to "heaven" feels Bans preasence begien to slip. He is stunned but resolved that he mucst finish his mission as a getbacker for Ban.

Ginji enters "heaven" only to be transposed (no pun intended) to another world where he is met by Dr. Jackal, or perhaps an alternate Dr. Jackal dressed in white.

(Its a jackal! Jackal? Jackal. Jackal!...)


Oh so sad!!! I am so glad I have read past this point or I probably would not have slept well for weeks...
Also, if I went to heaven and was met by Dr. Jackal I'd be having my doubts... wouldn't you?!?!

Well, I had fun posting all these. I am glad so many others were able to enjoy the story, contribute, and have some fun discussions. I guess its on to fan fics and waiting for the English volumes to come out for me now. But, I'll still be here on the comm keeping in touch!

XDDDD!!! The first pic is the most adorable thing out there! I can so picture Ginji saying "FOR GREAT JUSTICE!" before Maria pulls from the switch.

ehhh hee hee... well all five shots I included should be there. Just next to them is a x blank pic, due to my lack of computer skills.. (I probably posted them wrong.) If you see the five pics, you got all I posted. Of course if there is any other scene you wanted to see I could add that too.
Either way, I am glad you enjoyed.

Oh! glad you clear that up, I just kept on clicking in the X`s to get the "other" scans **feels like an idiot** well I guess my computer skills are worst that yours ha ha ha

Hey is it just me or Akabane looks a hell lot more better than Ban in the manga??? (I looove Ban in the anime, but I´m starting to stare at Akabane more than usual...) **heart pumping** he he he

Yeah! Me too! Have you gotten a chance to read the English volumes? There seems to be a lot more subtle comedy earlier on, before it got too serious for cut in fun. Though they have managed to sneak it in here and there. I am tempted to scan in more comedy in any future... its just so good!

As for Jackal its still a toss up of my heart pumping for fear of flutters for me...

ha ha ha he`s scary but soooo damn good looking in the manga... and no I haven`t read the manga **crying out loud** I still can`t find it!!! But I can imagine what you`re talking about **hoping in reading the manga someday**
It`ll be great that you scan some more volumes cause I just can`t get enough of them ^___^!!!

I tend to scan little jokes and such here and there, but since I use this computer for work I can't scan too much. (yeah and licensing...blah....)
Somewhere a while back on the comm I scanned in how Ginji first called Ban Ban-chan.
Amazon.com will probably have the books or ebay.
I have a few volumes that are written in Japanese I can send you, if shipping isn't a problem. Can't really read them but the pictures tell a good story. I bought a lot of the volumes in Japanese because I HAD to know what happened next, and now slowly the ones I bought are being printed in English. So its almost like I have 2 copies of some now. Yeah I have agree with every one, Akabane is looking good. I think its the tie and staring right at me look in the last panel that is alluring...

First of all... Ugbun, thanks so much for posting these!! I don't know how much we really need to post of 89/90 since they're pretty self explanatory, but hopefully i'll have time to finish those soon. Sorry, just been so busy lately.

The only GB update I have:

GB #38 comes out 3/16
GB #39 in April
GETBACKERS: THE LAST PIECE Guidebook comes out in April, probably around the same time as #39

I've been trying to read Ayamine's blog and he said that there should still be a special edition for vol. 38 as well with 5 postcards again, this time with GB, Akabane, Hevn + Masaki, Makubex and Sakura + Kaoru (I don't get that one, but okay). He also said he gave an interview for the guidebook the other day and they ended up chatting so it was 4 hours long.

No problem, take your time on translations. I am just glad to be getting them. I was thrilled to see that you still planned on translating them. One could probably make a guess at what the characters are saying but its still great to know how it all really happened. (or I will have added my own sad little interpretations in my head like... oh and there Ban is finally telling Ginji he loves him... hee hee hee).
Thanks for the updates! I really hope I can find the last piece somewhere when it comes out. The store I know of here only has the magazines and it is hard to find the volumes even till much later. Ohwell, still exciting.

Heee, I'd love that but I like how his actions speak much louder than words. I'm pleased to see that you are still giving us scans and it's true we still have the english volumes to look forward too:)
